American Seating Company

The American Seating Company was known as the Furniture Trust. The United States School Furniture Company was established in 1892. Some of the directors formed the American School Furniture Company in 1899 to consolidate the commercial furniture industry. They absorbed 18 companies with 23 factories between 1899 and 1901. The company reorganized in 1906 as the American Seating Company. The American School Furniture Company had its charter revoked in 1909.

Products included public seating, school desks, and church furniture. They also produced seating for several baseball stadiums. Companies acquired included the Buffalo School Furniture Company, Century School Seating Company, Piqua School Furniture, Grand Rapids School Furniture Company, and the Cleveland School Furniture Company.
