Bergman Tool

The Bergman Hardware & Tool Manufacturing Company was incorporated in Buffalo, New York in 1904. Officers were Soloman Berman, Linn Bergman, and Aaron Fybush. The first tools were a saw set, tap holder, and braces. Later they became known for battery tools. The name was shortened to the Bergman Tool Manufacturing Company between 1913 and 1919. Bergman Tool became part of Irwin before 2003.

One of the more important patents was number 1,378,209 granted May 17, 1921 for an adjustable wrench issued to Jerome Berman.

Brand names included Blue Bird, Bergman, and Queen City.
