Brooke Bicycle Wrench

The American Saw Company was organized in New York in 1866 and moved to Trenton, NJ in 1893. Their charter was declared null and void in 1906.

They were listed as a wrench manufacturer as early as 1888. The Brooke bicycle wrench was assigned to American Saw. The patent number is 486,758 dated November 22, 1892 is credited to William E Brooke. There are several wrench patents assigned to American Saw.

There is a connection with the Specialty Manufacturing Company, also of Trenton. Specialty Manufacturing was listed as a vise manufacturer. There is one reference to the Brooke Specialty Manufacturing Company in Trenton.
