Giller Tool Company

The Giller Tool Company was an important tool supplier to the U.S. government.
The following history of Giller is composed of snippets of information and could contain errors. The company existed in Dallas, Texas in 1955 as the Giller Tool Supply Company, then as the Giller Tool Corporation in 1962. Hydrometals bought Giller in 1963 and liquidated assets keeping only the name. When Hyrometal bought toolmaker Thorsen in 1968, Giller became a division of Thorsen. Products produced include sockets, wrenches, survival kits, safety apparatus, tool chests, and foot lockers.
Hydrometals was incorporated in Illinois July 30, 1908.
