4 – Thos. Turton & Sons
New York outlet taken over by B J Eyre
(Thomas had 2 brothers, Frank and William who also used the Turton name in the file & Forge business.)
There was also a John Robert Turton in Sheffield at the same time with same product line.
1869 – John Turton – Vulcan Works and Ladywood Works
1872 – 1878 Turton & Lawton
1878 – Frederick Lawton leaves the company – briefly becomes John Turton & Company
John’s 2 sons join – becomes John Turton & Sons
