Carl F Beach began working on his wrench in 1899. Carl formed the Lagripper Wrench Company in Battle Creek in 1902. His patent number was 758,499 dated April 26, 1904. Another wrench sold by the company predated that of Beach. George R Van Schoick held patent number 606,317 dated June 28, 1898. Government records show there were 2 employees in 1905. The last year records were found is 1912.
