The Rockford Bit Company made cutting tools in Kokomo, Indiana. The business was founded in Rockford, Illinois in 1886. The company moved to Kokomo, Indiana in 1888 where it remained until 1916 with Wilton C Smith president. Workers went on strike in 1916 and Greenlee bought the company’s assets the same year. Articles of dissolution were filed in 1917.
