The Springfield Drop Forging Company manufactured wrenches and forgings for industry. The company was incorporated in 1893 with A L Moore treasurer. Moore would leave to establish Moore Drop Forging in 1900. At the time records state that he was with Springfield for 10 years indicating the company existed by 1890. The tools and equipment of the Northampton Cycle works were purchased in 1898. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts dissolved the corporation in 1913.
