Joseph E Wainright was a Deputy Sherriff in Kings County, New York. He was also an inventor who secured several patents for valve tools. One of these was for a novelty valve spring compressor. It is marked W W Co with Wainwright’s name and patent date of Oct 4, 1921. This is for an entire system that is not known to have been produced. A second patent dated March 6, 1923 shows the compressor by itself.
